New Site Allows Corporate Insurance Comparisons

April 22, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Benefits managers interested in knowing whether they're keeping up with the Joneses on their workplace life insurance coverage may get the answer from a new benchmarking Web site from MetLife.

At the site,  http://www.metlifeiseasier.com/lifedemo/flash.asp, employers supply general information such as whether they provide workers with supplemental life coverage and how often employees are permitted to adjust that coverage. The benefits officials also indicate how they give life insurance information to employees, such as through online channels. The site then compares the answers to industry benchmarks for similar size companies.

Several questions are part of an “Instant Poll” – allowing employers to view their answers along side responses compiled from all other companies who have already completed the online survey.
