Nomination Period Open for 2027 Plan Sponsor of the Year

PLANSPONSOR is asking for help identifying organizations that demonstrate exceptional leadership in helping employees prepare for retirement.

The Plan Sponsor of the Year awards recognize the actions sponsors have taken to improve participants’ retirement and financial wellness outcomes. While plan statistics such as participation rates, deferral rates and other metrics provide important context, the awards are not based solely on quantitative measures. The judges’ focus is on leadership, innovation and a demonstrated commitment to serving participants.

Nominations may be made by providers, advisers, consultants, actuaries, attorneys, third-party administrators or employees at the plan sponsor organization itself. The award is given in many categories to recognize all plan sizes and types, so any plan sponsor can be eligible. We are not currently accepting nominations for pooled employer plans/pooled plan providers.

Finalists for and winners of Plan Sponsor of the Year awards will be featured online at PLANSPONSOR.com and in upcoming 2027 issues of PLANSPONSOR magazine. Previous Plan Sponsor of the Year winners can be viewed here.

Award recipients across all categories will be honored at the PLANSPONSOR Excellence in Retirement Awards celebration at the PLANSPONSOR National Conference from June 6 to June 9, 2027, in Nashville, along with other award winners from across the retirement industry.
