Northern Trust Turns to Potter as NTGI Head

March 28, 2008 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Northern Trust has named Stephen N. Potter president of Northern Trust Global Investments (NTGI), the company announced.

A Northern Trust news release said Potter’s appointment will be effective immediately and that he will be based in Chicago. Potter will report to Northern Trust President and Chief Executive Officer Frederick H. Waddel.

Replacing Potter as EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region executive will be Biff Bowman, executive vice president and head of client servicing for the EMEA institutional investor group, the announcement said. Teresa Parker, executive vice president and chief operating officer for EMEA, will succeed Bowman.

Potter, 51, has been based in London since 2001 as head of the EMEA region, chairman and chief executive of Northern Trust Global Services, Ltd., and chairman of Northern Trust Global Investments, Ltd. He is an executive vice president of Northern Trust and sits on the corporation’s Management Group.
