NY Community College Selects VALIC as 403(b) Administrator

July 29, 2011 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Nassau County Community College, a division of the State University of New York, has chosen VALIC as the plan administrator for its multi-vendor 403(b) plan.

VALIC’s Retirement Manager will provide a suite of services to assist Nassau County Community College, as well as the Nassau County payroll office, with 403(b) plan administration. These services include payroll processing via the common remitter service, an online enrollment service, and automated compliance services that include Internal Revenue Code (IRC) contribution limits monitoring and hardship withdrawal suspension period enforcement.

“Nassau County Community College found that VALIC’s Retirement Manager program offers the most complete compliance tools as compared to other participants in our RFP process,” stated Fred Downs, Associate Vice President for Human Resources at Nassau County Community College, in a press release. “In addition to efficiently processing our 403(b) contributions, VALIC offers personal contacts which are of great assistance in effectively running our TDA program.”
