NY Life Continues Beefing up DCIO Unit

November 19, 2009 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – New York Life Investments has appointed David Giannini, James (Val) Van Deventer, and Deborah Vince, as regional vice presidents in its DCIO unit, the company has announced.

Van Deventer will work in the Southeast, Giannini in the Northeast, and Vince in the Western region and all will report to Jeff Keller, managing director of New York Life Investments’ DCIO effort, effective immediately, according to a news release.

Giannini joins New York Life Investments from Fred Alger Management where he most recently served as director of retirement sales strategies. Van Deventer was previously a vice president and senior retirement consultant at AllianceBernstein.

Prior to joining New York Life Investments, Vince was a vice president in the retirement plans division of Bryson Financial Group, a National Retirement Partners member firm.

Last month, New York Life Investments announced that it was planning to increase its DCIO sales staff from four to eight people to grow the firm’s DCIO assets under management from its current $2.3 billion.
