NYLIM Rolls Out Retirement Education Product

November 20, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - NYLIM Retirement Plan Services has rolled out a new program designed to assist plan sponsors in educating employees about planning for retirement.

“Listen and Learn”, expected to roll out to NYLIM Retirement Plan Services’ clients this fall, includes tools, publications and resources to help employees better plan for retirement.

Based on input from plan sponsors and participants, NYLIM has designed “Listen and Learn” to meet custom and specific needs.   Included in this, plan sponsors will be able to choose between three different themes for their enrollment kits:

  • Planning Life’s Longest Vacation – features aspirational messages regarding life in retirement
  • Live the Dream – uses a bold theme for companies with a more contemporary culture
  • Q&A – question and answer approach to saving and investing

Also, the program offers participant educational materials for their specific life stage:   21-35, 36-50, and over 50.   For plan sponsors designing their own educational kits, a generic version is also available

NYLIM also plans to offer a 10-part video series on public television called “The Better Investing Video Series”, offering topics such as saving for children’s education and common investment mistakes.
