One-Third of Health Care Workers Considering Job Search
April 13, 2012 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Thirty-one percent of health care workers are likely to look for a new job in the next 12 months, according to a recent online survey conducted by Harris Interactive on behalf of Randstad Healthcare.

When asked how optimistic they are in their ability to find employment, 58% of health care workers indicate that they are confident they could find a job. Eighteen percent of survey respondents report that more jobs are available, while nearly half (47%) of health care workers believe there are fewer opportunities available.
Forty-nine percent of health care workers believe the strength of the economy is staying the same; 24% say it is getting stronger; 27% indicate that the economy is weakening. Sixty-six percent of health care workers feel confident in the financial health of their company.
Eighty percent of respondents feel it is unlikely they will lose their job (versus only 8% who believe this is likely).
The survey was conducted online within the United States by Harris Interactive on behalf of Randstad Healthcare in January, February and March 2012, among 4,341 adults ages 18 and older of which 252 are employed in health care.
