Online Job-Hunters Seek New Skills, Training

December 10, 2001 ( - Brushing up on a professional skill or going back to school for a higher academic degree are still the keys to getting an edge in a struggling economy, a survey of online job hunters shows.

Those were the answers offered by 83% of users in the Monster Meter survey. Seventeen percent of those responding said they were comfortable in their current job., a popular Web job-hunting site, periodically issues job hunter surveys.

MonsterLearning Search, a new product on the MonsterLearning site, provides a search engine for career-related training.

The results of the current Monster Meter are based on votes cast by users from November 26 to December 3, 2001.
