PA SERS Taps New Chief

May 20, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Pennsylvania State Employees' Retirement System (SERS) has tapped a New Hampshire pension official as its new chief.

SERS announced that Eric Henry, currently executive director for the New Hampshire Retirement System, would join SERS as executive director as of June 28. According to the announcement, Henry has a decade of pension experience, including work with Ernst and Young.

He holds an M.S. in Business Administration from Bucknell University, a B.S. in Accounting from Penn State University, and is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), the announcement said.

Current SERS Executive Director John Brosius is stepping down from his post after 20 years as director. The $25-billion fund serves 109,000 active members employed by 106 different employer agencies.
