Phoenix Firm Releases CDHP Record System

December 7, 2006 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - MphasiS Healthcare Solutions(MHS) has announced that it now offers health care payers an integrated solution for health benefits management with a consumer directed health care plan (CDHP) option called CDHpac.

According to a news release from the Phoenix-based provider of health benefit management and business process outsourcing (BPO) services, employees obtain 24-hour access to financial health care account information through its CDHpac product via an employer-branded Web site. In addition, employees can view the latest transactions from their account cards, which are linked to their Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) and Health Spending Account (HSA).

The company said advantages of the system include:

  • member-level plan and account spending definitions.
  • convenient contribution fund management.
  • automated rule-based reimbursement, auto-recoveries and adjustments.
  • electronic transaction exchange with pharmacy benefit managers and financial custodiansregulatory and client reporting.

CDHpac also integrates expanded data, business rules and workflow triggers, allowing administrators to reduce the time spent on routine administrative tasks, the company said.

“CDHpac provides administrators with a cost-effective system to manage consumer-directed health care plans while delivering enhanced employee control over benefit-contribution decisions,” said Siva Namasivayam, MHS chairman, in the news release.
