Each Plan Sponsor of the Year finalist will be recognized at PLANSPONSOR‘s Annual Awards for Excellence dinner in New York on March 25, and also will be featured in the March issue of PLANSPONSOR magazine. The Plan Sponsors of the Year will be announced later this month. Also at the Awards for Excellence celebration, PLANSPONSOR will also announce the winners of its annual Retirement Plan Adviser and Retirement Plan Adviser Team of the Year.
On an annual basis, the editors of PLANSPONSOR magazine identify individuals or institutions/employers that demonstrate leadership in providing a more secure retirement for workers. According to Nevin E. Adams, Editor-in-Chief of PLANSPONSOR, “Each of the finalists has distinguished itself in unique and quantifiable ways, and with demonstrable results during this especially critical period. Last year’s winners included Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, WellSpan Health, West Virginia Teachers’ Retirement System, and the City of Los Angeles.

Mortenson Company; The YMCA Retirement Fund; The Missouri State Employees’ Retirement System (MOSERS); the State of Hawaii; American Airlines; the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS); IBM; the United Methodist Church; Gary Amelio, Executive Director of the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board; David Bronner, Head of the Retirement Systems of Alabama; the FDNY Pension Fund; and General Motors Asset Management’s Allen Reed.
