PRC Keeping List of Lump Sum Offerings
October 17, 2012 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – The Pension Rights Center (PRC) has published on its website a list of companies that have offered lump sum pension buyouts to certain retirees and former employees.

Each company name links to the SEC filing, corporate press release or news article announcing the move.
A number of companies are taking advantage of the interest rate, which is locked in for calculating pension liabilities for terminated, vested participants and offering lump sums to get those liabilities off their books, including auto giants Ford and GM (see “List of Companies Offering Pension Lump Sums Grows”).
