Principal Dental Clients Get More Information Access
June 18, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Employees whose
company has dental insurance coverage from the Principal Life
Insurance Company may now have an easier time keeping track
of the care of their pearly whites.

According to a news release from the Principal Financial Group, the new service is available at www.principal.com under the “Provider Directory” link.
The site provides access to a list of dental providers and a link to fee information for dental services and general information regarding dental insurance via go2dental.com , the announcement said. Customers can also submit specific dental questions to go2dental’s professional staff.
Dental plan members of The Principal can search network providers based on various criteria. Specific details for each matched provider, including a map and driving directions, are shown for the closest 100 network providers. Also at the site are:
- fee look-up – Displays the usual, customary and reasonable fees based on selected procedure codes according to the selected zip code. The range of fees is from 50th percentile to 90th percentile.
- dental benefits content – Displays information on clinical and common dental insurance concepts.
- ask-a-dentist – Eligible members can submit dental specific questions to go2dental’s professional staff.
Go2dental.com, based in Saratoga, California, provides Web-based dental systems to insurance companies, managed care organizations and employers.
