Pru Group Life Clients to Access EAP Services

May 25, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Group life insurance clients of Prudential Financial will now have access to a suite of new employee assistance program (EAP) services.

Prudential and EAP provider ComPsych Corporation announced they were partnering to provide My GuidanceResources.

Once connected to the EAP program, employees and their family members have access to support services, including counseling and referrals for a wide range of personal and work-related challenges, the announcement said. ComPsych Guidance Coordinators are professional clinicians who specialize in handling issues involving job stress, parenting concerns, alcohol and substance abuse, anxiety, depression, financial concerns and bereavement.

My GuidanceResources offers:

  • an employee assistance program (EAP) with three face-to-face visits
  • unlimited phone consultation
  • assistance with will preparation
  • beneficiary financial counseling
  • online information resources.

“When employees experience difficulties in their lives, it not only impacts their productivity on the job, but it also can have a devastating impact on their personal well being,” Michael Witwer, senior vice president of Prudential’s group insurance business, said in an announcement. “We’re pleased to offer our clients a program that their employees can turn to for counseling, support and self-help.”
