According to the 10-year contract, Exult will manage Prudential’s core administrative and transactional HR services including:
- benefits administration
- HR call-center management
- HR information services and systems support
- employee data and records management
Proponents of outsourcing argue that by centralizing HR functions in small service centers shared by a small number of clients, BPO providers can significantly reduce transaction costs for their clients.
Transition of Prudential’s HR processes to Exult’s Client Service Centers in North Carolina and Texas will begin promptly and is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2002.
