Prudential Expands Its Signature Education Center

July 27, 2005 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Prudential Retirement has announced a "Women & Investing for Retirement" program and an "eZ Series" of communications tools, expanding its education and communication offerings.

The two new initiatives are the latest additions to Prudential’s Signature program.   In June, Prudential introduced Signature Online, a Web-based education center for retirement plan participants (See  Pru Unveils Web Participant Portal ).

According to a company news release, Phil Waldeck, senior vice president of Products & Advisory Services for Prudential Retirement said the “Women & Investing for Retirement” program “demonstrates how retirement-planning decisions affect the long-term financial future of women and their families … helps women overcome the ‘fear of the unknown’ surrounding retirement programs … and empowers them to take positive action.”

The “eZ Series” consists of one-page flyers to encourage employees to enroll in their employer’s retirement plan or increase their contribution rate, according to the news release.   At the bottom of each flyer is a response card where participants can enroll, increase their contribution rate, or both with the check of a box.   The flyers can be customized for each plan sponsor.

“By continually expanding and enriching our Signature programs — and by grounding our programs in personalization and ease-of-use – we believe we can positively influence participant behavior and help people grow and protect their retirement assets,” said Waldeck in the news release.
