Prudential Investment Platform Expanded

October 2, 2013 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – Prudential Retirement's investment platform, Manager-of-Managers, has been expanded.

The platform will now meet intermediary and plan sponsor needs for strong performing options across several asset classes. Recently, 12 new institutional sub-advised funds, including a new nontraditional asset class, real estate, were added.

Under Large Cap Value, the platform now offers the Becker Capital Fund (Becker Capital), Ceredex Value Advisors Fund (Ceredex Value Advisors) and Nuveen Asset Management Fund (Nuveen Asset Management, LLC). For Large Cap Growth, the Brown Fund (Brown Advisory) and Fayez Sarofim Fund (Fayez Sarofim & Co.) are now available. Under Mid Cap Value, there are now the Invesco Fund (Invesco Advisers, Inc.) and WEDGE Fund (WEDGE Capital Management LLP). Mid Cap Growth now includes the American Century Fund (American Century Investment Management, Inc.).

In addition, the platform now offers the Palisade Capital Management Fund (Palisade Capital Management, LLC) under Small Cap Growth, the Neuberger Berman Fund (Neuberger Berman) under International Blend, and both the American Century Fund (American Century Investment Management, Inc.) and Cohen & Steers (Cohen & Steers) under Real Estate.

According to Prudential, these additions are part of a multi-pronged initiative to increase the breadth, depth and competitiveness of its investment offerings with multiple strategies within key asset classes for plan sponsors to choose from with the help of their consultants.
