Putnam Offers Sole 401(k) Plan

October 15, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Putnam Investments is dipping its toe into the sole proprietor retirement market with the introduction of the Putnam Individual 401(k).

The investment company said the new product, to be first offered in early November to small businesses will be marketed through financial advisor channels.

The Putnam media announcement said ExpertPlan would provide recordkeeping services to Individual(k) plan clients including:

  • online set up
  • IRS compliance
  • transaction management.

The Putnam plan provides financial advisors with online proposal generation and marketing support, the company said.

ExpertPlan  is based in Easter Windsor, New Jersey.
