Pyramis Names Head of Portfolio Management

January 2, 2013 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Pam R. Holding has been added to the senior investment team of Pyramis Global Advisors.

As head of portfolio management, Holding will lead equity portfolio management teams and oversee strategy for institutional clients’ investments.

Holding’s position was created to bring additional senior resources to institutional asset management as the firm’s business expands and becomes more global. She will report to Young Chin, chief investment officer. 

Holding was most recently managing director, global value equities at Putnam Investments in Boston from 2001 to 2009. Before that, she was associate director, head of European research from in Putnam’s London office. She also held several fixed-income research positions after joining Putnam in 1995. From 1992 to 1995, she was a senior high-yield bond analyst at Kemper Financial Services.

Holding has a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University, a master’s in business administration from Harvard Business School and is a chartered financial analyst charterholder. 

Pyramis Global Advisors, a Fidelity Investments company, is a multi-asset class management firm. As of September 30, 2012, assets under management totaled more than $190 billion.
