Rahl & Polsky Reunion Delivers L Squared
The joint venture between Rahl’s Capital Market Risk Advisors, Inc and Lisa Polsky Partners is being created to provide institutional investors more customization, education and better risk management to increase their alternative investment holdings, the company said. The name, L Squared, was coined during Rahl and Polsky’s days co-heading Citibank’s derivatives, where the two hedge fund maharishis were referred to by the moniker due to their one-two knowledge punch in the alternative investments market, according to the news release.
After 1991, the two went their separate ways. Rahl spent the next 12 years at Capital Market Risk Advisors, Inc, where she serves as President. Polsky served as a managing director in Merrill Lynch’s Collateralized Financing Services and spent time at Morgan Stanley before striking out on her own, forming Lisa Polsky Partners.
