Regence Group, Wells Fargo Come Together on HSA

August 16, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Regence Group and Wells Fargo Institutional Trust Services (ITS) are collaborating to offer health savings account (HSA) qualified plans beginning October 1, 2004.

The Regence HSA pairs a high-deductible health plan with a separate savings account. The health plan features the Regence network, providing access to doctors and hospitals worldwide. The savings account through Wells Fargo ITS allows consumers to create tax-deductible, interest-earning funds to cover deductibles, co-payments and other qualified medical expenses. Consumers can roll over their unused funds from year to year, which creates investment and retirement-planning options, according to a news release.

The HSA will be offered in Idaho, Oregon, Utah and Washington.   The Regence Group is an affiliation of Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plans in Idaho, Oregon, Utah and Washington. Access  www.regence.com  for more information.
