Rohm and Haas Does HR Outsourcing Deal

June 23, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - A Dallas-based outsourcing firm has walked away with a seven-year pact with Rohm and Haas to provide HR and technology services.

A news release from ACS said its services will include administration of Rohm and Haas human resource information technology platforms and improved employee and manager self-service tools.

ACS will also provide technology to support compensation planning, performance management and leadership development, as well as payroll services, recruitment support, and relocation services in North America. The contract also includes the handling of the company’s payroll services in France . ACS will provide support for these services from an employee service center in Schaumburg, Illinois, according to the announcement.

Rohm and Haas’ HR functions will begin to transition to ACS on January 1, 2005, and are expected to be completely transferred by June 2005. Rohm and Haas is a leading specialty materials provider.

In December 2002, ACS teamed with Motorola to form a business process outsourcing (BPO) venture and Motorola agreed to merge a “substantial” portion of its HR systems, software, and process capabilities function with ACS (See Motorola Partners in BPO Enterprise ).
