Russell Adds to Transition Management Team

March 7, 2011 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - To support a general uptick in activity, Russell Investments' Global Transition Management team added six new professionals in offices around the globe.

Tim Wilkinson, Catherine Darlington and James Aylett joined the transition management team based in Russell’s London office, and Daniel Birch came on board as the newest member of the Sydney team, while Josh Houchin and Eric Ellingson work at Russell’s Seattle headquarters.  

According to a press release, Wilkinson, managing director, EMEA (Europe Middle-East Africa), assists with EMEA-wide distribution and business development of Russell’s suite of products and services. He has more than 26 years of industry experience and was most recently with BNY Mellon as managing director and business head of transition and beta management in EMEA. Previously, he was managing director, global head of transition management and overlay services at Citi Global Markets.   

Darlington, portfolio manager, focuses on managing complex events for clients. She most recently spent five years at BlackRock (formerly BGI) as a vice president in the integrated transitions team.   

Aylett, associate portfolio manager, was a portfolio analyst with Russell Implementation Services before joining the transition management team. Previously, he was part of Russell’s fund operations team in London.   

Birch, a portfolio manager focused on a variety of transition management mandates—including interim portfolio management for a major superannuation fund—previously worked at SW1 Capital in London as a portfolio manager.   

Houchin will focus on the fixed income business. He was formerly a member of the business development team at Clearwater Analytics. 

Ellingson, associate portfolio manager, was most recently a member of the Russell Implementation Services operations team. Previously, he was a relationship manager at Halbert Hargrove LLC.
