Rydex Bringing S&P Hedge Index Product to the Masses

Partners has announced an agreement with Standard &
Poor's (S&P) and PlusFunds Group Inc to introduce an
investment product based on the S&P Hedge Fund
Index.

The new offering will be made available to qualified US investors through registered investment advisors, as well as to self-directed investors.
The S&P Hedge Fund Index, launched in November 2002, is designed to be investable and representative of the broad-based investment experience of the hedge fund marketplace. It comprises nine hedge fund investment strategies grouped into three broad style categories:
- arbitrage
- event-driven
- directional/tactical.
