Saturna Capital Announces Two New Executive Hires

September 14, 2011 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – Saturna Capital Corporation, investment adviser to the Amana and Sextant mutual funds, announced the hiring of two key executive positions. 
 

Craig Churman has been appointed Vice President, Product Development, a newly created position and JoAnne Langhäuser has joined Saturna in the role of Chief Compliance Officer

In the newly created role of Vice President of Product Development, Churman works with Saturna’s sales, operations, and marketing teams to build and expand products in the institutional, sub advisory, retail separately managed accounts and 401(k) markets. Prior to joining Saturna, Churman spent 10 years in sales and product development at PNC Global Investment Services, transitioning to Bank of New York Mellon when it acquired PNC GIS in July 2010. Churman brings over 30 years of experience in financial services, with positions in client services, product development, mergers and acquisitions, and finance, at firms such as Federated Investors, BISYS, and Invesmart. He is a graduate of West Virginia University, with a BS in Business Administration, and he earned an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.

As Chief Compliance Officer for Saturna’s nine affiliated mutual funds, Langhäuser brings over 15 years of compliance experience to the position. Past employment includes WM Advisors, T. Rowe Price, Prudential Financial, First Data Investor Services Group, and, most recently, Edge Asset Management, a Seattle-based subsidiary of Principal Global Investors, LLC. She holds a BS in Human Service Studies from Cornell University.
