Scudder Aims New Services at Small Plans

May 1, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Scudder Retirement Services unveiled a new bundle of 401(k) services Tuesday aimed at the small plan market.
Executives said they saw a competitive opportunity for the Scudder Premium Plan among companies with $1 million to $15-million asset levels.

The new plan, which is sold through intermediaries, offers broad investment choices with an option for self-directed brokerage. Each plan is supported by a Relationship Manager and Conversion Services Team.

The new product is supported by online tools, including PlanNet, the dedicated plan administration Web site with the ability to generate customized reports.

Customers of the new Scudder product will also have access to Scudder University, the participant site providing investment education and retirement planning tools and InterActive Account, the system interface with online transaction capabilities.

In addition, new plans will benefit from Scudder’s recent migration to the SunGuard OmniPlus recordkeeping system.
