Securian to Offer PlanLaunch, a Conversion Web Site

December 2, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) -Securian Retirement Services has launched a plan sponsor Web site meant to streamline the process of changing retirement plan providers.

The main goals of the PlanLaunch program, according to a Securian press release, are to inform plan sponsors about the conversion process, provide quick access to necessary documents and information, and prepare employers for the ongoing administration of their plan.

The Web site has four sections:

  • Conversion Process, which is a step-by-step time line that spans from the decision to switch to conversion completion.
  • Roles and Responsibilities, which describes the client’s and Securian’s roles during the implementation process and ongoing administration.
  • Resources, which provides information for employers about the conversion process.
  • Forms and Notices, which offers downloadable documents and announcements that employers can customize to meet unique needs.

In addition to these services, Securian claims that clients also get guidance and support from a dedicated conversion manager.

Securian Retirement Services,  a business unit of Minnesota Life, manages over $7 billion in assets for 3,300 retirement plans.
