Seligman, LaSalle Introduce Real Estate Fund

July 18, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - There's a new player on the real estate investment scene.

A collaboration between J. & W. Seligman & Co. Incorporated and LaSalle Investment Management (Securities), LP is offering the Seligman LaSalle Monthly Dividend Real Estate Fund, according to a news release.

The fund will invest primarily in equity and equity-related securities issued by real estate companies, and will seek to produce a high level of current income, with capital appreciation as a secondary objective. Investments may include real estate investment trusts (REITs).

LaSalle Investment Management (Securities) is the real estate securities investment arm of LaSalle Investment Management, Inc. J. & W. Seligman & Co. is the fund’s investment manager and LaSalle Investment Management (Securities) is the fund’s subadvisor.

The fund will distribute dividends monthly and capital gains annually and requires a minimum initial investment of $1,000.
