Sheridan To Head MassMutual Retirement Marketing

October 15, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - MassMutual Retirement Services has tapped Ian Sheridan as vice president and head of its marketing unit.

Sheridan, who reports to Frederick Castellani, executive vice president in charge of MassMutual Retirement Services, replaces E. Thomas (Tom) Johnson, Jr., who was promoted last summer to run enterprise marketing for the MassMutual Financial Group companies.

Sheridan comes to MassMutual Retirement Services from ADP and has more than 16 years of experience developing employee benefit and retirement-related products, sales and distribution strategies, alliance programs, client service models, and executing on strategic acquisitions. He was head of Marketing and Business Development for ADP Retirement Services.

As marketing head for MassMutual Retirement Services, Sheridan will oversee the MassMutual Investment Program, the multi-manager sub-advised investment platform that supports the DC, DB, 403(b) and nonqualified deferred compensation products as well as other investment products for MassMutual; product development; marketing communications; market research; and public relations and advertising.

Prior to his tenure at ADP, Sheridan was the Director of Marketing and Client Services for Universal Pensions, Inc. (UPI).
