Sibson Invites Participation in Healthy Hospital Survey

November 5, 2009 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Sibson Consulting is seeking to evaluate employer health and productivity programs and measure the impact of various strategies and practices by surveying health care and hospital employers' best practices in absence, health, wellness, and productivity initiatives.

According to Sibson’s announcement of the study, data gathered from the online survey will allow Sibson to establish a set of benchmarks for peer organizations both within the hospital and health care sector and beyond. Sibson did a similar survey last year of college and university employers – its 2008 Healthy Campus Study.

Goals of the new study include:

  • Benchmarking organizations’ workforce metrics against those of a wide range of major U.S. employers;
  • Establishing a Healthy Enterprise Index that will allow organizations to understand where they rank, and that will be shared with participating hospitals and institutions; and
  • Helping organizations establish a business case for a healthy enterprise program by understanding best practices and by leveraging current data that supports the effectiveness of these initiatives.
