S&P Adds SMA Rankings to Research Lineup

September 12, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Standard & Poor's is adding another arrow to its quiver of research products - research on US separate account managers aimed at advisors and brokers.

According to an S&P announcement, it will now have the capability of offering a range of separate account analyses through an agreement with Prima Capital, an investment research and technology company.

S&P’s separately managed account application, powered by Prima Capital, will classify, evaluate and rank over 250 US money mangers running over 400 products. In addition, the application will offer:

  • in-depth managed account reports
  • screening tools
  • monitoring mechanisms
  • product comparisons
  • customization.

The separate account application is set for rollout in the first quarter of 2004 and will appear as a module on Advisor Insight – Standard & Poor’s product suite for investment advisors and brokers, the announcement said.
