State Street Picks Up Muni Management Team

has expanded its fixed income capabilities, hiring a
12-member team of institutional municipal bond specialists,
formerly of Wachovia Securities.

The team left Wachovia Securities as part of that company’s decision to exit municipal finance in August. It is expected to join State Street’s Securities Trading business in December.
The group, joins an existing sales force based in Boston and will provide national coverage from offices in Atlanta, Charlotte, NC, New York and San Marino, CA.
They will focus on U.S. institutional fixed-income managers.
