SURVEY SAYS: What Are Your Holiday Travel Plans?

The Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year’s holiday periods are among the busiest long-distance travel periods of the year.

According to the National Household Travel Survey, during the six-day Thanksgiving travel period, the number of long-distance trips (to and from a destination 50 miles or more away) increases by 54%. Most long-distance holiday travel, about 91%, is by personal vehicle, such as by car, and visiting friends and family is the single biggest reason Americans travel during the holidays. This week I’d like to know about your holiday travel plans.

BONUS SURVEY SAYS: A common income replacement rate for retirement touted by the industry is 80%.  Do you think this is too high, too low, or just right?

You can respond to either, or both, surveys at https://www.research.net/s/LN6Y7K9.
