TAG Launches Actuarial Service Division

January 14, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - As the world of the defined benefit plans continues to evolve, Technical Answer Group Inc. (TAG) has launched a new Actuarial Services Division (ADTAG) to handle the complexities surround the repeal of 415(e), relaxed top heavy minimums and cash balance plans.

ADTAG offers a variety of services to respond to scenarios including peer review, overflow work, or new business opportunities.   The level of involvement ADTAG has with the respective defined benefit plan will be determined by the plan sponsor, according to a news release.

Headed up by Roger Harris, ADTAG will offer TAG subscribers and non-subscribers access a range of services, including:

  • Cash balance plan design
  • Minimum distribution rules
  • DB to DC cross testing
  • DB lump sum calculations
  • Retirement income replacement studies
  • Asset/Liability studies
  • DB plan termination
  • DB plan amendment review
  • Form 5500 filings, including Schedule B
  • PBGC form filings

ADTAG is available to TAG subscribers at a reduced hourly rate. For those firms that are not currently subscribing to the TAG service, the ADTAG fees include a complimentary 30-day subscription to TAG during the first engagement only.
