TAG Teams With PensionOnline

October 26, 2000 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Plan sponsors can now tap into the joint resources of the Technical Answer Group (TAG) and PensionOnline to compare several different plan design options and get answers to technical questions online.

The new site ( http://www.tagdata.com/pensiontools ), a joint venture between TAG and PensionOnline, allows plan sponsors to input specific census data (compensation, ages, etc.) to create an “instantaneous” side-by-side comparative analysis of different profit-sharing plan types including:

  • Integrated
  • Age Weighted
  • New Comparability

Clients that require answers to technical questions are able to contact the Technical Answer Group, Inc. with just one click.

The Plan Design System also calculates the Equivalent Benefit Accrual Rates (EBARS), the Average Benefit Percentage Test, the Ratio Percentage Test, and the General Tests (IRC 401(a)(4)). 

In addition, a Plan Contribution Calculator is available on a subscription basis.  An annual subscription costs $295, a 30-day limited version costs $35, but users can only create two employer records during that time period.

Just a month ago, TAG announced an agreement with SunGard Corbel to answer questions and provide guidance on the new IRS Form 5500 for Qualified Plans at www.5500answers.com .
