Telecom Jobs See 2008 Comp Hikes
November 10, 2008 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Several
positions in the telecommunications industry saw sizeable
increases in compensation during 2008, according to Mercer's
survey data.

class=”NormalIndent2″> Median total cash compensation, which includes base pay and annual bonus, for the position of top network engineering executive is $250,200 up from $225,000 in 2007. Additionally, the position of engineering director rose from $162,200 in 2007 to $175,300 in 2008.
Mercer’s 2008 US Telecommunications Compensation Survey includes compensation information from 82 organizations. The pay data cover employees in 141 positions, ranging from executive and sales to operations and network support.
