Tenn. Firm Taps New VP Retirement Services

August 27, 2009 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - A Nashville, Tennessee service provider has tapped Courtenay Shipley as vice president Retirement Services.

A news release said Shipley will beresponsible for expanding A.D. Vallett & Company’sthird-party recordkeeping service and 401(k) platform, and relationship development foritsopen-architecture 401(k) product.

According to the announcement,Shipley has eight years of retirement services experience with a focus in defined contribution plans, participant services and education, and retirement planning.

She most recently served for four years as a Retire Secure Employee Benefit Specialist for Principal Financial Group’s retirement services division. Previously, she was anaccountadministrator at Ward Financial Advisory of Wachovia Securities and a representative for The Horace Mann Companies.

Shipley holds a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University.
