The Principal Enhances Plan Sponsor E-mail Service

November 10, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Principal Financial Group has announced enhancements to its plan sponsor e-mail service, including the addition of a once-a-week e-mail summary of important news about retirement plans.

The Principal Messenger, the new service that aims to save time and help stem information overload, according to the company, organizes messages by topic and separates ‘action-needed’ email from others messages. Plan sponsors can also save more time by assigning the reports to appropriate recipients, the company asserts.

Messages are deleted after a set time to avoid a back-log of messages.

The Principal hails the service as helpful to plan sponsors both because of the customization available and because of the focused information it provides without excess e-mails.
