Towers Watson Appoints Managing Consultant for Pacific Northwest

February 2, 2011 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Towers Watson has appointed Jonathan Smith as managing consultant for the Pacific Northwest.

In this role, Smith will have overall responsibility for the management of Towers Watson’s Pacific Northwest Region. He is based in Seattle.                              

According to the announcement, Smith has 20 years of experience helping organizations with health care strategy, consumer-driven health care plans, and wellness programs. He spent 13 years as vice president at a national health plan, working with Fortune 1000 employers primarily headquartered on the West Coast.

Smith also was a vice president at RelayHealth, a health information technology division of McKesson Corporation, before taking a senior consulting and division leadership role in Towers Watson’s Health and Group Benefits practice in 2007.   

Smith succeeds Gail McKee, who was recently appointed chief human resources officer for Towers Watson.
