March 18, 2014 – Fred McFeely Rogers graduated magna cum laude from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, in 1951 with a degree in music composition.

He earned his divinity degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in 1962. At his ordination the Presbyterian Church asked him to serve children and families through television.
