TRS of Illinois Names New Executive Director
January 5, 2011 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Richard W. Ingram was named the new executive director of the Teachers’ Retirement System of Illinois following a unanimous vote of the TRS Board of Trustees.
Reported by Rebecca Moore
According to a TRS news release, Ingram has more than 30 years of experience in the administration of public pension systems, institutional investments and financial management with public and non-profit organizations. Ingram currently is the executive director of the New Hampshire Retirement System. He has led the NHRS since January of 2009.
Prior to joining the NHRS, Ingram served for two years as executive director of The Housing Partnership, a non-profit organization based in Portsmouth that develops, owns and advocates for affordable housing throughout New Hampshire and Maine.
Ingram has agreed to a three-year contract with the Board of Trustees. He will begin his tenure at TRS in late January.
Ingram succeeds Stan Rupnik, who has served a dual role as acting executive director and chief investment officer at TRS since April of 2009 after the resignation of former executive director Jon Bauman (see Bauman Steps Down from Illinois TRS Post). Rupnik will remain as CIO with TRS.You Might Also Like:
