TRUSTlynx Adds Ameritrade to Brokerage Program

January 29, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Plan sponsors with plans at TRUSTlynx now have a second online brokerage option to offer participants with individually directed accounts (IDA).

According to a TRUSTlynx news media announcement, the company has added Ameritrade Corporate Services, as an online brokerage service option for IDA participants.   Ameritrade represents the second such offering from TRUSTlynx. TRUSTlynx rolled out the IDA option with the online brokerage firm of Aspen Investment Alliance, Inc. in May 2002.

For IDAs, TRUSTlynx serves as a communications link between participants and TPAs, electronically routing all information between the TPA’s recordkeeping system and the online brokerage system.

An Ameritrade Retirement Services Account will also provide the ability toplace trades via the Internet, as well as by Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system, or through a registered broker.   Ameritrade charges flat-rate commissions and clients have the option of receiving electronic statements and trade confirmations.
