UBS Closes RT Capital Deal
August 15, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - UBS Asset
Management has completed its acquisition of RT Capital
Management, the institutional pension fund management
division of the Royal Bank of Canada.

The agreement, as originally announced June 20, has received regulatory approval and has been signed by senior members of both organizations.
As previously announced, RT Capital is to be renamed
Brinson Canada.
Brinson Canada will continue under the leadership of
president and chief executive officer Michael Wilson, who
served as Canada’s federal Minister of Finance from 1984 to
1991.
