The UBS business, formerly known as Corporate Employee Financial Services, focuses predominately on advising clients on retirement plan best practices and new developments in plan features. The group also develops and implements customized plan administration solutions.
Michael Barry, head of UBS Equity Plan Advisory Services, said two factors drove the decision to rebrand the firm’s equity plan business.
“We wanted the name to clearly identify the business we are in, and to state our key differentiator, advice,” Barry said. “Delivering customized solutions to U.S.-based multinational corporations and providing access to advice to all plan participants in the U.S. and many countries around the world is our core offering.”
UBS also announced plans to release an expanded education program as part of the new Equity Plan Advisory Services brand. Slated for release later this year, the program will offer clients the ability to access UBS’s full suite of advice-based services through its participant website, UBS One Source.
UBS Wealth Management Americas is a division of UBS AG.
