UnumProvident Unveils New Small Employer Disability Package

employers have a new disability income protection and life
insurance package to consider from UnumProvident.

UnumProvident’s plan offers choices of long-term and short -term disability income protection as well as life insurance with enhanced accidental death and dismemberment coverage, according to a news release. Some of the coverages automatically include a range of features such as employee assistance services, flexible funding options and Internet administration services.
The employee assistance services are designed to help keep employees at work and productive, while giving them support to deal with challenges such as parenting, child care, elder care, addiction, legal issues and education. This is done through 24-hour, toll-free access to resources, referral consultants and master’s-level counselors who provide confidential and professional advice.
In addition, the plan provides survivor financial counseling for the beneficiaries of an individual covered under a group term life plan. This service offers financial advice though attorneys who will work with the survivor to develop a personalized financial plan.
