US Bancorp Piper Jaffray Merges Fund Families

September 26, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - With the goal of consolidating similar funds, US Bancorp Piper Jaffray Asset Management has merged its two fund families, following the merger of US Bancorp and Firstar Corporation in February this year.

The new fund family, resulting from the consolidation of First American Funds and Firstar Funds, is called First American family and comprises 55 funds, managed by 50 portfolio managers, 32 analysts and 13 traders.

As part of the funds merger, the group introduced a new brand identity and logo that uses the image of George Washington within the First American brand identity. The new logo was developed in consultation with the firm’s major stakeholders during the past few months.
