Van Hassel Tapped for ING Investment CEO Post
October 29, 2009 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Gilbert Van
Hassel has been named as global chief executive of ING
Investment Management, after it was announced the division is
to be spun off as a separate company, IPE.com
reported.

Van Hassel replaces Jacques de Vaucleroy who stepped down on Monday to pursue other interests, ING officials said in a statement.
Van Hassel, who joined the company in 2007 as CEO of ING IM Europe, will report to Ton McInerney, who is set to become chief operating officer (COO) on the ING Insurance Management Board.
In addition, Jeff Becker has been named as CEO of ING IM Americas. He was previously COO and head of business of business management and strategy at ING IM Americas. He succeeds Rob Leary, who will now become CEO of ING Insurance U.S., the news report said.
