Vanguard Adds Web Site Info for Retirees or those Close

September 28, 2005 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Those at or near retirement might get some much-needed answers to financial planning questions from a series of new information modules posted to The Vanguard Group's Web site.

A Vanguard news release said the suburban-Philadelphia investment company had added:

  • Take Your Required Minimum Distributions
  • How Investment Costs Affect Your Retirement Spending
  • Select a Withdrawal Method
  • Determine How Much You Can Withdraw

“As baby boomers begin to approach retirement, issues such as withdrawal strategies, plan distribution options, Social Security, and health care take on greater significance,” said Vanguard CIO Tim Buckley in the news release.. “The new tools and content on our website address these key issues. They’ll guide retirees and near-retirees with important financial decisions regarding their retirement years.”

 

In addition, Vanguard has published brochures explaining issues that retirees may face concerning Social Security, health care, retirement plan distribution, and income annuities, according to the announcement.
