The suburban Philadelphia mutual fund company said the new offerings would start trading on the American Stock Exchange Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. The new VIPER offerings with their indices and expense ratios are as follows:
- Vanguard REIT VIPERs (Morgan Stanley REIT Index), 0.18%
- Vanguard Energy VIPERs (MSCI US Investable Market Energy Index), 0.28%
- Vanguard Industrials VIPERs (MSCI US Investable Market Industrials Index), 0.28%
- Vanguard Telecommunication Services (MSCI US Investable Market Telecommunication Services Index), 0.28%
With the additions, Vanguard will offer a total of 20 VIPERs with 11 tracking specific sectors and nine tracking more diversified market segments, the company said. Vanguard’s VIPER shares are structured as a separate share class of existing Vanguard funds.
