Vigilant Financial Adds New Partner
June 30, 2011 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Vigilant Financial Partners has appointed Shelly A. Horwitz as Partner, where she will lead the firm’s Retirement Plan Services efforts.

According to a press release, Horwitz will be responsible for sales and marketing for the company’s retirement plan services. She will manage client development and servicing, and will execute a strategic sales process that further expands the firm’s growth in the retirement services industry.
Horwitz joins the firm with more than 15 years of experience with retirement planning, the release stated, and has provided consulting and fiduciary advisory services to over 200 non-profits and corporations in such areas as plan design, investment consulting, compliance, employee education and communication.
She comes to Vigilant Financial from the Lockton Companies in Washington, D.C., where she managed client relations for mid-market retirement plans throughout the country. She previously held several client roles at Principal Financial Group, where she later served as Relationship Manager.
Horwitz is a graduate of Elon College, and currently holds several securities licenses.
